INNOMEATEDU E-PLATFORM
InnoMeatEdu e-platform has been developed in order to share with stakeholders (students, academics, professionals and industry) a holistic approach on Meat Science Education. The platform employs open educational resources (OER) and the latest information and communication technologies in order to provide a user-friendly approach on both basic and advanced information on Meat Science. The concept of the material developed is focused on Products, Processes, Quality, Safety, Sustainability & Entrepreneurship of the Meat Sector. The material developed is structured in training courses (6), integrated by training subjects (24), theory topics (93), practicals (35), assessments for self evaluation, references and further reading. It also include case studies (some of them based on connection with the industry), several manuals, and multimedia resources (videos and infographics). Most of the material is available in several languages. The time needed for the successful completion of all available courses is estimated in 300 h, equivalent to 30 ECTS (see the InnoMeatEdu Course Overview, bellow, for details).
